Once a copy of the Copyrighted work is in hand, Copyright registration is typically a relatively simple process.

The proper application form is completed and filed, along with a copy of the Copyrighted work, and the requisite fee, in the United States Copyright Office.

Typically within about 6 months, a Certificate of Registration is mailed from the Copyright Office to the Applicant.
